trooantroo is a Brooklyn photo blog. My name is Nancy Scola, and since moving to Brooklyn, New York, in 2005 I've had a great time taking photos around this magnificent borough. This blog is a place to post and, hopefully, discuss them. Hope you enjoy, and feel free to drop me a line.

The name of the blog comes from the epigraph to "Only the Dead Know Brooklyn," a short story by Thomas Wolfe that ran in the New Yorker in 1935:

Dere's no guy livin' dat knows Brooklyn t'roo an' t'roo, because it'd take a guy a lifetime just to find his way aroun' duh f_____ town.
